STUDENTS HONOURED AT HOUSE OF LORDS

Students have been honoured for their Legacy 110 projects in a ceremony at the House of Lords in December 2016. Pupils from Chatsmore Catholic High School in Worth created a permanent memorial in Sussex.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS CREATE 'PEACE PRAYER GARDEN'

Students from Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Coventry are profiled in 'Catholic Times' as they showcase their 'Peace Prayer Garden', inspired by their visit to the battlefields as part of the government funded programme. The Garden forms part of a wider 'Legacy 110' project, designed to reach out into the community.

Lord Ahmad launches Legacy 110 post tour commemorative project

Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon launched the post tour commemorative project, Legacy 110, linked to the government funded battlefield tour, which encourages pupils to share their experiences with the wider community upon their return. If every pupil tells at least 110 other people, the project will collectively reach 888,246 people - the same amount of British and Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives in the Great War.

Communities Minister visits Carshalton Boys Sports College

Communities Minister Stephen Williams visited one of the first schools to attend the government funded battlefield tour, Carshalton Boys Sports College, to commemorate Armistice Day with the pupils and mark 100 years since the start of the Great War.
