Online Module Launch

We have launched the first of our new optional online CPD modules. This module, entitled 'Researching a local soldier', has been created in partnership with the Imperial War Museums' Lives of the First World War project and supports teachers in conducting research on those who served in the First World War.

This online module is a step by step guide as to how to go about researching an individual who served in the First World War. It utilises the Commonwealth War Graves Commission databases and the Lives of the First World War project website and takes you through the step required to find out more about a 'name'. Having completed the research yourself, there are some prompts to help teahcers develop this activity for use in the classroom.
