Brand new resource launched in September 2016 on Medicine on the Western Front in the First World War.

This new historical enquiry examines how effective medical care was on the Western Front in the First World War, and is designed to support the new Edexcel GCSE History spec. The principal focus is on looking at medical care by the British Army. The enquiry looks at a range of sources and encourage students to evaluate their impact before reaching a judgement as to the effectiveness of medical care on the Western Front.

You can download the teacher notes and accompanying resources to help you teach this enquiry in the Teaching Resources section of the website. The resources are organised around each stage of the enquiry. Teachers are free to adapt these materials to meet their own needs and challenge their students’ learning.
