SEN activity for comparing two battlefield sites

Sarah Cheshire is a Specialist Leader of First World War Education. Here she provides information and a suggested activity for SEN students visiting Tyne Cot and Langemark Cemeteries.

The aim of the activity is to compare these two different sites and to look at how the cemeteries are different, why they are different and how this reflects the different attitudes towards remembrance and commemoration of the different nations involved. Includes teacher notes and student activies.
